LileStyle Productions LLC, Humanity's Team and Earth Fest 2008

This
year at Earth Fest, LileStyle Productions LLC decided to pioneer a
grand new idea, the LIVE Green Screen Stage! A green screen is
something that is used by the Weather Person on your local news, that
allows digital backgrounds to change at the click of a button, showing
us all the great maps and weather patterns. The weather person is
actually standing in front of a green screen while a technician runs
the digital portion and puts it out to us as a composited video stream.
Lots
of kids at Earth Fest in Kansas City this year had the opportunity to
learn how this technology worked and thoroughly enjoyed transporting
themselves to various locations around the world. They were given three
locations to choose from: Antarctica, The Rain Forest, or the Landfill;
and many props and costumes were provided to help complete the
imaginative play. The kids were then asked to go up on stage with a
microphone and play the part of “Environmental News Reporter” and
shared with us their story about the environmental concerns of our
planet.
“The kids were really excited to see themselves on TV
with a giant penguine apparently standing behind them. It also gave
kids a great opportunity to learn about the things we could do to
protect the various environments that they were reporting about”, said
Angie Lile, President and Owner of LileStyle Productions, LLC. “It just
really warmed my heart to see the excited looks on their faces as the
kids watched their friends and siblings on the TV Monitor”.

Challenges
of running a live green screen stage were many, such as lighting and
power issues outdoors, and working in a small space. Mike Lile,
Vice-President and Technical Director at LileStyle, had his hands full
of technical issues, but managed to pull it all off without any sad
faces. “Nothing like this is currently being done on a LIVE basis”,
said Mike Lile, “so this presented a number of challenges with no
technical references to back us up.” This just goes to show what hard
work and great determination can accomplish.
While we lured cold
Festival attendees to come into our booth for a “free trip to
Antarctica, the Rain Forest, or the Landfill”, volunteers at the
LileStyle booth had a great time. This email from Terry Livingood, Author of Awakening to Self-Mastery , says it best:
I just want to tell you my thoughts about you and the booth you had at
Earth Fest 2008: I was impressed with your enthusiasm,
your professionalism, and your creativity. I was impressed with your
clarity of mind and organizing abilities. I was impressed with how you
were with the kids --actually how you interacted with people of all
ages. I was also impressed with Mike and his mechanical and technical
expertise and contribution. You both were great! The booth looked
great. I know a lot of the visitors and passers-by were impressed,
too. I heard several comments about how great the booth looked and
about all the work it took to make it what it was . . . and what a
great idea! And I agree --what a great idea! I can see numerous
organizations using LileStyle Productions to promote their services.
It was fun working with you from setting everything up to getting
everything packed up again. Thanks a lot for inviting me to be there
with you. Wishing you the very best, ~Terry Livingood

Parents
were also offered a chance to purchase a DVD copy of their child's
performance, with proceeds of the event to benefit Humanity's Team, A
Civil Rights Movement for the Soul.
Humanity's Team is one of
the many beneficiaries of LileStyle Productions charitable services,
all on a volunteer basis. LileStyle Productions sets the standard for
charitable media work, finding time and resources to help spread the
word about various organizations and their wonderful causes.
