Tomorrow's God

Who would have thought I'd be here? The very word God has been anathema to me since I rebelled against Christianity in my teens. Eventually I found a spiritual path in meditation and became a committed Buddhist and now I'm ready for the new spirituality, not that Buddhism doesn't contain it all, but with added freedom and the concept of a great beingness - call it God or the Universe or Consciousness, it doesn't matter.
First Deepak Chopra, then Eckhart Tolle and now Neale Donald Walsch's writings have directed me away from anger and fear towards the potential for greatness. Their works and others like Tony Robbins and Stephen Covey have changed my life and sit comfortably and easily within the Mahayana Buddhist path.
I still have a long way to go, still lack patience and tend to dwell in negatives at times, allow anger to rise and ingrained predjudices, but I can see beauty and wonder every day, pure potentiality as Deepak Chopra calls it, and I'm determined to cultivate these and other positives in any way that I can.
