First Message from Neale

My dear and wonderful friends...

How special it is to be able to "connect" with all of the extraordinary people throughout the world who are now participating in a movement to change the world through the work of Humanity's Team.

Everyone connected with Humanity's Team is so excited about the possibilities that the months and years ahead hold for all of us as we sweep together to clean up our world of the age old cultural stories that have stopped our species from living together in peace and harmony.

As I write this I am embarked on a two-month tour of Europe, beginning in Italy and concluding in The Netherlands, with stops in between in Ukraine, Germany, the Czech Republic, Scotland, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. I'll be returning to the United States on November 19...just in time for Thanksgiving!

I hope to be meeting many of you "on the road" as I carry the extraordinary healing message of Conversations with God to people everywhere. It would be so wonderful if contingent groups of Humanity's Team members could hook up with me at the various locations, for a short "meet and greet" and a brief chat about worldwide priorities.

As you know, I have called it a “Civil Rights Movement for the Soul,” freeing humanity at last from the oppression of its beliefs in a righteous, jealous, angry, demanding, exclusive, vindictive, vengeful, and violent God, and offering people everywhere the freedom to follow their natural impulse to seek and experience the Divine without fear of being socially ostracized, legally punished, or militarily attacked for the way in which they are doing it.

We should each be able to follow the God of our heart—or no God at all—without feeling that we have given up, by default, all the safety, security, and power that citizens in a civilized society have a right to claim.

The work of Humanity's Team is grounded in the understanding that beliefs create behaviors, and that the only way to alter humanity's behaviors in any long term way is to alter humanity's beliefs. It is the belief in the ancient God that I have described above that has created and supported so many of the dysfunctional behaviors of so many human beings, leading to the altering of life as we have known it on this planet.

I am so proud of the work you are now doing at creating community, placing citizen-based, grassroots programs in cities, towns, and villages across the globe aimed at offering people everywhere an alternative definition of God, an alternative explanation of Life and its purpose, and an alternative idea about each other.

Now, even as we work to support and sustain those undertakings, we wish to simultaneously and vigorously move to the next level in terms of impact, outreach, and outcome.

Let us all be clear about what was held in consciousness when Humanity's Team was created...

 

• What we are choosing to do is change the world.
• What we are inviting you to do is to join us in that effort.
• What we know is that we must begin this right now.

Make no mistake about this: humanity is facing a crisis. Right now. Not in some far off, distant future, but right now. There are some who do not want to acknowledge this, saying that to do so is to create it. I am not among those who believe this.

I do not believe that to observe at the corner of a busy street that traffic is coming is to place the danger there. I agree that if you observe the traffic with fear, it could create a fearful outcome. Yet if you observe that the traffic is coming and do so without fear, you will take, quite naturally, whatever action is necessary to avoid the danger that the oncoming traffic would pose if you simply stepped into it unaware.

I am telling you that we are all here, standing at the corner. Humanity is here, at the edge of the pavement. We have run out of sidewalk. We have gone as far as we can go on our present path. We have now to cross the wide avenue of human travail. We can avoid it no more. Nor can we pretend it is not there.

We must venture into the possibility of danger if we are to get to where we say we wish to be on “the other side.” I am telling you that there is traffic coming. It is coming at a very high speed. It is headed directly across our path. To ignore the traffic in order not to “give it power” would be to give it more power than it has ever had. For, as Conversations with God tells us, what you resist persists, and what you look at disappears.

And so today I am not filled with fear, but with confidence. For I know that I am aware, and awareness of an obstacle is the only way around it. Awareness precedes confidence, and, indeed, creates it.

The crisis humanity is facing right now is a spiritual crisis—and it can only be resolved by spiritual means.

THAT’S WHERE WE COME IN.

So in this very first message on the new Founder's Update blog on the HT website, let me just say, on behalf of a humanity hungry for change, thank you for the role you have chosen to play in bringing about a newer world. I will try to update this message as I move through this two-month tour, and I invite you to visit this website often.
