Group Works for Unity Among Humanity
ESTORIL, Portugal, June 22, 2007 (UPI) -- Implementing a belief in humanity's unity will bring about lasting world peace, international delegates to a weeklong conference in Portugal said Friday.
Conference participants said they believe "humanity's division is the root cause of violence, war and terror in the world," said Steve Farrell, worldwide coordinating director of Humanity's Team, an international grass-roots movement based in Boulder, Colo., at the group's annual worldwide coordinating conference in suburban Lisbon.
Islamic Scholar: Allah Wanted Diversity in Oneness
OTTAWA, May 25, 2007 (Arab American News) — Diversity implies oneness because reality is unity with multiple dimensions, each complementing the other, an Islamic scholar said.
“All God's creatures are one ummah,” Islamic Institute of Toronto resident scholar Ahmad Kutty told delegates to an Islamic Society of North America convention in Ottawa.
“Ummah” is an Arab word meaning “community” or “nation.”
Pope Reverses Catholic Teaching on ‘Limbo'
VATICAN CITY, April 20, 2007 (AP) -- Pope Benedict XVI has reversed centuries of traditional Roman Catholic teaching on limbo, approving a Vatican report released Friday that says there were "serious" grounds to hope that children who die without being baptized can go to heaven.

"All people, especially religious leaders, should experience a new spirituality of interfaith, perennial and universal religiosity," the Rev. Philipus Tule said in a talk about the book "Islamku, Islam Anda, Islam Kita" ("My Islam, Your Islam, Our Islam").
