Personal Power

As I am gearing up to teach a class on personal empowerment, it came to my attention that to teach someone to empower themselves one must first teach them how they give there power away and  the reason they may fear their on empowerment.

To those who do not realize that is from within that personal empowerment comes, one might fear it, thinking it is aggression, manipulation, forcefulness, and taking control of your exterior circumstances. When in fact it is none of the above, it is knowing that you have the power to virtually create your life from your shoes up and out to you external environment, also including how you relate to others and how they relate to you.

Now that is powerful!!

You give away that power by needing to be right, by judging others, by trying to please others or live up to their expectations, as well as placing expectations on others.

Blaming and fault finding will also cause a loss of power and goes back to needing to be right.

Relying on others opinion of you to define you, and when you accept that you are saying their opinion of you is more important than what you think of yourself.

Your reputation is in the hands of others and you have no control of that.

The only control you do have lies within you and your ability to co-create with your Creator.
