“My life is an expression of my belief that the universe is a friendly place, our lives are guided if we’re willing to pay attention, we each have a significant difference to make with our lives and when we express that possibility, great fulfillment comes our way.”

This is the belief that has guided Lynne Twist into being one of the most powerful leaders for many global initiatives including: ending world hunger, protecting the world’s rainforests, empowering indigenous peoples, improving health, economic, and political conditions for women and children, for advancing the scientific understanding of human consciousness, and creating a sustainable future for all life.

Lynne’s advocacy began with bringing together the brilliant minds of Buckminster Fuller and Werner Ehrhardt to create the Hunger Project. She says, “I was swept away by the profound commitment not only to end world hunger and starvation but the hunger in our hearts and souls for meaning, to make a difference with our lives, to matter, and to leave this planet in a better way than we found it.”

The compelling stories and insights gained from her experiences inspire Lynne’s keynotes and workshops, and are the foundation for her best selling, award winning book The Soul of Money, Lynne founded the Soul of Money Institute to express her commitment to supporting and empowering people in finding peace and sufficiency in their relationship with money and the money culture.

Lynne’s passion to preserve the indigenous cultures that inhabit the Amazon rainforest as they try to preserve the earth’s resource that we cannot survive without, our rainforest, led her to establish The Pachamama Alliance. Pachamama means “mother earth.” The two-fold mission of the Pachamama Alliance is “To preserve the Earth’s tropical rainforests by empowering the indigenous people who are its natural custodians and to contribute to the creation of a new global vision of equity and sustainability for all.”

To be part of determining a new direction for our civilization, Lynn has joined, and encourages all of us to join “Four Years. Go.” It is a campaign to catalyze and empower a fundamental shift in the direction of humanity, inspiring collaborative action, connecting individuals and organizations, and amplifying best practices and successes shifting the current trends of humanity by 2014 to a path toward an environmentally sustainable, socially just, and spiritually fulfilling future on this planet.
