Where are you?

I just had the opportunity to do 52 hours of community service at a local county park where i worked with other community service workers and also work release folks ( released from jail towork of remaining time). In this most unexpected place of drudgery i found human treasures...One fellow reading Eckhart Tolle's book about being in the now...another practicing kindness..others singing "Kumbaya, oh my Lord"" and a general attempt of making light of an otherwise unpleasant setting often from inidividuals like gang members. One of the tattoe covered fellows told me he focusses on doing the best job possible under any circumstance and proceeded to scrub areas that had otherwise been ignored..there is ligth everywhere.

Working under an abusive worker who doled out meaningless work spiced w abusive words and actions i remembered to use my favored prayer..and, as always the next day things drastically improved for all. Thank God for spirit in all.
