Power

Some people have told me that even though they have taken their power in their lives, even though they’ve performed their acts of power, they are still unhappy.... [T]hey have moments of joy, moments of happiness, but for the most part their lives are filled with stress and confusion and a kind of emptiness. When I consider what power really mean—manifesting your dreams, manifesting your true self in the world—I’ve come to realize that most people don’t know the essence of who they really are. So many of us live through a kind of suspended self, rather than a genuine self.... [T]hey have no sense of spirit or love for something greater than themselves. Is that important? I think so, because God is love, and I don’t know how you can experience a true feeling of love without a love for all creation, which, for me, encompasses some concept of a god.
