Join Humanity’s Team in Spiritual Activism and Help Heal our World

The Humanity’s Team Global Council has created three spiritual activism days, one each month, between now and our meeting with the United Nations in New York City on May 20th when we will present our Oneness Day petition and our signatures to the United Nations and request that we together create a Oneness Day.  Will you partner with us to drive our signature count?  We invite you to be a spiritual activist with us!  The three dates we are setting aside are: Tuesday, March 30th, Tuesday, April 20th and Tuesday, May 11th.  All you need to do is mark your calendar and send your email and skype address to: info [at] humanitysteam [dot] org.  We will connect you with our worldwide effort.

Please also print out the attached list created by Anna-Mari Pieterse who is a valued leader within Humanity’s Team.  This list lays out some of the things you can do as a spiritual activist to drive our Oneness Day petition signature count and in the process, heal our world.

COLLECTING THOUSANDS OF ONENESS DAY SIGNATURES

1.    Put together your own local Oneness Day Petition Team.

2.    Decide how many signatures you can contribute, and put together your own local Oneness Day Campaign Plan. Please share your plan with us.

3. Collecting signature ideas:

3.1   Involve important local people and organizations. This is the perfect opportunity to also identify people/organizations who represent the Twelve Spheres of Life that Humanity’s Team has identified.

· Educational institutions

· political leaders

· religious/spiritual leaders

· community leaders

· business leaders

· celebrities including sportsmen and woman

· like-minded organizations

· embassies

- Use our ‘Why a World-Wide Oneness Day?’ document to support your communication and outreach with these organizations and people.  

- Find ways to announce the participation of such people to your local Teammates and through the media. Remember to take a picture when they sign, and consider doing an official hand-over of our oneness declaration (like we did with Archbishop Tutu)!

3.2   Make a list of possible ways to gain media coverage.

Examples:  Articles in spiritual or like-minded magazines

Using ‘Freebie’ magazines

Press advertisements according to your budget

3.3   Determine a regular means of petition promotion and communication to local Teammates and supporters.

3.4 Decide on how you may collaborate with businesses such as book stores, yoga studios, churches, wellness shops, etc. to participate, by making use of Posters, the Oneness Petition Signature Page, and the Oneness Declaration.

3.5   Make sure that you and as many people as possible carry a Petition Signature Page on your person at all times.

3.6   Consider a local competition with a prize for the person who collects the most signatures.

3.7   Look out for like-minded events and collaborate with organizers. You may put up an HT information desk and make use of oneness petition posters using simple and catchy words to attract attention.

3.8   Make a list of the local cities that may agree to adopt the idea officially through legislation. This will gain great media coverage.

3.9   Be sure to include exciting communication on your local website.

3.10 Investigate possibilities of advertising our campaign on other websites.

3.11 Make sure to use as many internet community/networking forums such as:  Facebook, Twitter, Ning, LinkedIn, Plaxo, MySpace, as possible.

3.12 Make use of a Tear-off flyers and posters at shopping malls/notice board of schools/colleges/universities.

3.13 Bumper stickers.

3.14 Remember to “Think Young”!!

3.15    Very important:  Through-out all of your efforts and plans, double up by incorporating the 1Mandala and watch out for more specific inspirational ideas from Russell Maier!

3.16 Go to the “Resources” area on the www.humanitysteam.org web site and then click on “Resources for HT Leadership”.  Scroll about half way down the page and you will see many resources you can use under “Oneness Day Petition Tools”.
