MicroFinancing

Following along Muhammad Yunus and his Grameen Bank, winners of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize, there's a fabulous organization that is interconnecting us all and allowing individuals to make micro-loans to specific people in other countries.  This way we can all contribute to the well being of many across the globe.  At Kiva.org, after signing up, a member can choose the project that he/she wants to fund.  I've been very inspired by their mission.  

Also striking to note is that %97 of the loans are repaid.  Therefore money that is first loaned can than be channelled to another project after repayment.  You will see that many of the projects are community based and family oriented.
