A New Paradigm that is Shifting Life on Earth

Gerry Harrington, o
ur Strategic Alliances Coordinator, likes to tell the story of the gigantic shift that took place 500 years ago when people believed the Earth was flat and at the center of the universe. As we know, Galileo and Bruno announced their startling discoveries based on Copernicus’s work...the Earth was round, not flat, and was on the edge of the universe, not at the center. They paid an enormous price and so did others who were ostracized and worse but out of a sense of integrity, they shared their truth. Their discoveries became the basis for a new way of life on Earth.
We believe something similar is unfolding today. Today most people believe we are all separate from each other and the world around us but the science supporting this, Newtonian Science, is increasingly being called into question and in some cases is seen to be outright false. Einstein spent the last two decades of his life working on a unified field theory that postulates that everything in the universe is part of a single field. This is the basis for work being performed today by quantum physicists. Quantum physics sees connection between human beings and the universe around us. They see diversity in the unity, what Ken Wilber calls “holon” or a body that is a discrete whole and that is part of a larger body or whole. Many quantum physicists believe Einstein’s theory was correct; everything is connected to everything else, that in fact We Are All One. Ancient and contemporary spiritual figures tell us the one essence, the one presence, is sacred and Divine, is manifested in all of life, and is indeed God, a God that only now is coming into fuller comprehension and understanding. Perhaps like 500 years ago, the world is about to undergo a major shift based on a whole new paradigm. Perhaps we are not separate from each other and the world around us. Perhaps we are all individuations of one whole and holy energy field that we can call God, Source, Supreme Being or something else.
This has major implications for how we live on Earth and how we are organized. If we are all part of one thing, and that one thing is sacred and Divine, then a new priority will certainly emerge for our daily living on Earth. This new priority will almost certainly be to serve life first because we will feel our connection with each other and because we will see every part of the whole is sacred. No longer will we be able to say problems are “out there." In our new identity where we are all a part of a larger whole, we will see new purpose and urgency in healing: climate change, poverty, lack of access to water, food and medicine, terrorism and war because we will see we are each a part of what is unhealed. In other words, we will see the Earth’s atmosphere is part of who we are so if it is unhealed, we are unhealed. If a person is poor and does not have access to water, food, medicine or shelter, we will not be able to ignore it because that person is part of who we are. No longer will we consider something “out there” that we don’t have time for. We will regain our sense of caring for and sharing with those around us because we see health and well-being are part of our natural state and sharing with those asking for assistance is a very natural thing to do. When we take on a new identification -- the world around us -- everything changes. Not that one of us or a few of us can heal the world but as my mother used to say “many hands make light work.” Together we can heal the Earth when we all pitch in together.
This is precisely what is beginning now and this is the focus of Humanity’s Team. We see that We Are All One and we see major implications in this new paradigm. We see a shift taking place now to a New Earth based on Oneness, a shift that is creating a sustainable world of peace, harmony and happiness. We believe now is the time to create a new blueprint for life on Earth based on our Oneness and Divine nature. Some refer to this as the new narrative or cultural story that is emerging.
How about you? Do you see the sacred and Divine in yourself and others? How about nature, do you see God in nature? What do you believe to be true, that our body is our true Self or that our true Self is: the world around us, the universe, and even God -- from where we come and in whom we have our being? Do your compassion, devotion and service extend to the edge of: your body, your nuclear family, or the world around you? These are some of the questions confronting each of us. How we answer these questions and how we live our lives determines our destiny, our children’s destiny, and the destiny of life on Earth.
All my love,
Steve
