One Person Can Make a Difference
Sometimes people will ask, "Can one person make a difference?" "Is it really possible?" Then they will share, "If not, why bother?!"
My answer is emphatically, "Yes". It always starts with one person who has courage and who demonstrates with their life lived what change looks like. These people give courage to others. Mahatma Gandhi was such a person. Martin Luther King Jr., was such a person. Jesus of Nazareth was such a person. Albert Einstein was such a person. The list is too long to publish so I'll stop here except to say that I believe you may be such a person also.
Why do I share that you may be such a person? I share this because Humanity's Team is about standing up for what we believe in and announcing it for all to hear not as a proselytizing statement but as a truth we hold, that: "We are all One". It is not about sitting down. It is about standing up. This requires conviction based on deep thought. It requires unswerving commitment. Most people I meet in Humanity's Team fit this description. They believe now is the time to act and we must not wait for others, we must step forward and be the change we wish to see in the world. Of course, we all authentically express in our own way. We each stand in our own truth.
I'd like to invite you to step further into your own truth now. We've just created a new "Spiritual Activism Initiative" page on our web site so everyone, anywhere in the world, can be a spiritual activist any time of day, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. All that is needed is access to a computer. With computer access, one person can have an enormous impact. If you have a moment, you might take a look now: http://humanitysteam.org/spiritual-activism and you will see what I mean.
In about 15 minutes, one person can touch people all over the world in a profound way, sign a petition that declares a new world based on Oneness, and join a virtual community linking spiritual activists from around the world. Here are some of the things you can do:
Sign a petition asking that the United Nations to declare a "Oneness" Day.
Send a blessing eCard to a friend or family member that is incredibly uplifting.
Join our Global Village of Oneness.
Send a blessing Email to the Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the United Nations Spiritual Caucus.
Send a blessing email to the European Union and the UN Commission on Human Rights.
Send a blessing email to the World Congress of Faiths.
Volunteer and share your Wealth, Wisdom or Work.
If you don't have the time now, you might save this email or place a "bookmark" on your calendar to become involved with these spiritual activism tools later when you have the time.
When we embrace who we really are and stand up strongly for what we believe in, it is tremendously empowering. We give energy to all we come in contact with. When we do this together and in unison, we become a powerful movement that truly moves the whole world.
One person can make all the difference and when we each take personal responsibility for being the one person in our community who steps up and steps out, watch out! The world will soon know "We are all One" and the day of just dreaming about a New Earth that our children shall inherit will come to an end. We will move from dreaming to creating and a New Earth will be born. That day is coming! This is what Humanity's Team is about!

HUMANITY'S TEAM ONENESS PETITION TO THE UNITED NATIONS
The most important petition ever launched .... Towards a new humanity, a new earth, and a New Spirituality.
Humanity's Team is collecting 50, 000 Signatures to get the United Nations to declare a Oneness Day; a day set aside and embraced by individuals, communities and nations for humanity to celebrate, discuss and experience our similarities as well as our rich cultural diversities; our Oneness. A day to unite with the entire universe as one human family.

Special Times Call for Special Action. Humanity is divided and faced with so many life-threatening crises, that we need to change our world view if we wish to preserve life as we know it.
This is a dramatic statement, but it's true. The status quo doesn't work anymore.
We've got to stand together and declare that terrorism and anti-terrorism, the financial collapse and selective government bailouts, ecological devastation and uneven environmental enforcement, and the many other divisive and destructive conditions and policies in this world must end.
And for those divisive and destructive conditions and policies to end, the underlying beliefs that created and perpetuate them must change.
We've got to realize something we already know - and now officially declare once and for all; that we are all part of a unified whole with multiple dimensions, each complementing the other- We are all One. In fact, the sooner we recognize this, the sooner the world's many life-threatening crises will end.
That's another dramatic statement, and it's also true.
The fact that you are receiving this e-mail means someone believes you are among the growing vanguard that can see the truth in what we're saying. The fact that you are receiving this e-mail also means someone believes your voice is important to join the collective outcry, getting louder by the day. People world over are awakening to the realization that We Are All One Humanity, and that recognizing this will change how we behave toward one another.
The second step . . . Own the petition and spread the word by forwarding the petition to as many people as possible! And continue checking back for the signature count. We can bring about a truly historic change of life when we all take the responsibility to get the job done.

Humanity's Team Love Tour 2008
San Francisco Bay Area

One of the longest stops this year's Love Tour made during their two month trek across the vast North American continent was in the San Francisco Bay Area. We had the honor of hosting them.
Using our home in San Rafael, California (about 15 miles/25 km north of San Francisco) as their hub, our whole family (that's seven of us . . .) accompanied them to see beautiful Bay Area. These included a three hour Free Hugs event on a crowded city waterfront, the breathtaking natural elegance of the giant redwood forest at Muir Woods, the spectacular coastline and the delicious food of Monterey Bay and a visit to Humanity's Team's web developer, Ursa Minor.
The highlight of the stop was a wedding ceremony...and not just any wedding ceremony...but the union of two of Humanity's Team's wonderful leaders and Love Tour participants: Martin Buehler (Country Coordinator for Switzerland) and Marketa Potmesilova (Country Co-Coordinator for the Czech Republic). Martin and Marketa exchanged vows outdoors, in the beautiful courtyard of Unity in Marin church, in a ceremony custom made to their wishes.
To many of its visitors and inhabitants, the San Francisco Bay Area imparts an exceptional...a very intense spiritual...emotion. We could feel it when we shared so many special moments, as Teammates from all around the world, united as One in the unique experience known as the "City by the Bay."

This blessing intends to open your heart, the sender, as well as the recipient's. From this sacred space, the recipient then can send the heart-opening energy on to others.
We've all become part of Humanity's Team to Awaken the World to Oneness. When you send this blessing to friends, family and even to strangers, you will be part of the gentle hand that nudges the shoulder in this Awakening moment.
The Spiritual Action Initiative on which Ana-Marie Pieterse (South Africa's HT country coordinator) has worked so tirelessly and selflessly, is a place where you will find provocative and inspiring blessings to send on to all you know. With 15,000 Humanity's Team teammates from across the globe, we as a group, through the use of the Internet, will bless ourselves and millions of others.
Our planet and every being on it needs blessing. Imagine if even half of our active teammates send one e-card and then each recipient sends only once to someone they know; in one day 15,000 blessing letters will comfort people's souls and hearts, just as a soft blanket comforts us on a cool night.
If, in the second day the same 7500 HT teammates send e-blessings and the recipients of the recipients send 7500 e-blessings, in two days alone, we will collectively send out 150,000 e-blessings. Now, multiply this times 30 days without the exponential daily increase and we will send out 4 and a half million e-blessings. In one month, at least 4.5 million people around the planet will waken and take part in Humanity's Team's Spiritual Action Initiative right from their computers. What if we all sent three e-cards every day?

To bless means to wish, unconditionally and from the deepest chamber of your heart, unrestricted good for others and events; it means to hallow, to hold in reverence, to behold with awe that which is always a gift from the Creator. To bless is to invoke divine care upon, to speak or think gratefully for, to confer happiness upon, although we ourselves are never the bestower, but simply the joyful witnesses of life's abundance.
