I saw Project Hail Mary a few weeks ago.

Like millions of others, I got swept up in it — one man, alone, racing across the galaxy to save every person on Earth. It's a great story. It's also the story we've been telling ourselves for a very long time: that somewhere out there, someone or something is coming to save us.

I want to say something today that I believe with my whole heart: there is no lone hero coming. There never was.

There are billions of us.

And the real rescue mission — the one that actually determines whether humanity thrives or continues to fracture — isn't happening light-years away. It's happening right here, right now, inside every person who's willing to stop believing they're separate from everyone and everything else.

That belief in separation is, I think, the root of almost everything we're struggling with. When we feel separate, we protect. We compete. We hoard. Fear runs the show. But when we remember — really remember — that we belong to one another and to this planet, something shifts. Compassion stops being an effort and starts being natural. Stewardship stops being an obligation and starts feeling personal. Our smallest daily choices start pointing in the same direction: toward connection instead of division.

This isn't a metaphor to me. It's the work Neale and I set out to do 23 years ago, and it's the reason 1.4 million people in over 100 countries have joined us in this movement toward conscious living.

Here's what I keep coming back to: every single one of us is being asked, right now, to choose. Compassion over judgment. Cooperation over conflict. Connection over division. Not someday. Today. In this conversation, this decision, this moment with your family or your community.

We don't need a hero. We need each other — awake, aware, and willing to act like we're already one.

That's the mission. That's why I do this work. And I'm so grateful you're part of it with me.
