Friends,
Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that.
In Humanity’s Team we want to acknowledge the pain and hurt caused by the senseless killing of George Floyd and the history of racial abuse in this country.
Acts like this remind us that discrimination is an everyday occurrence for black and brown communities. We kid ourselves when we believe racial discrimination is a thing of the past. It is not. Communities of color experience forms of discrimination each and every day.
This cannot continue. We must resolve to root out color discrimination, gender discrimination, faith-based discrimination and discrimination in any form.
We Are All One means we are all an emanation of the Divine. We are all offspring of the Divine. Each person is Sacred. Let us resolve to love and support each other always and to steward the beautiful planet that is our home. It is made in the likeness and image of God also.
As we work to end practices of discrimination, may we be reminded that we must not resort to violence. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that.”
Let us resolve to right the wrongs of discrimination, hurt, fear and exploitation and may we be devoted to journeying the non-violent path. We must resolve to stand in the light, not in the darkness.
In Oneness and Love,
Steve

From the Good News Network
As the Country Coordinator for Trinidad and Tobago, it was my great pleasure to host Steve Farrell, the Co-Founder and Worldwide Executive Director of Humanity’s Team, who graciously launched our CNETT Conversations on May 12th, 2020.
Steve spoke with an interested audience of micro and small business owners from Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Jamaica, USA, Canada and UK who all signed on for 1 hour to hear, for the very first time, about the concept of Oneness and Conscious Leadership in business.
While Steve shared his Hawaiian roots and embraced our Caribbean island spirit, he mentioned that it was his first time speaking to a predominantly Caribbean audience.
He explained to us that all his businesses were extremely successful and managed in alignment with Conscious Business Principles (Oneness Principles), even when it was not yet a recognized concept. The key areas of Conscious Leadership in his businesses included:
It really was inspiring to hear that by using the above principles, his businesses were able to attract and retain the top talent in the hyper-competitive environment of Silicon Valley in the 1990s and he was able to scale from a very humble start of life and upbringing to 2 large profitable IT businesses spanning the globe.
His final suggestions to our keen listeners included:
Steve invited our audience to visit the Humanity’s Team website and sign up for the free programme Be The Inspiration, Be The Influence... Be The Leader.
We also invited everyone listening to share the message and sign the Conscious Business Declaration.
It was a great conversation and a wonderful launch to the first Conscious Business Initiative in Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean Region. We look forward to continuing our series to support the development of Conscious Businesses in the Caribbean.
One participant sent in this comment:
