Bruce Lipton received his Ph.D. in cellular biology from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville. In 1973, he joined the Department of Anatomy at the University of Wisconsin’s School of Medicine, where his research focused on the molecular mechanisms controlling cell behavior. It was there that Bruce Lipton and a colleague developed an experimental tissue transplantation technique that was published in the journal, Science, and subsequently employed as an innovative form of human genetic engineering.

Following his passion, Dr. Bruce Lipton began examining the principles of quantum physics and how they might lead to a better understanding of the cell’s information processing systems. Bruce Lipton’s research at Stanford University’s School of Medicine, between 1987 and 1992, gave birth to breakthrough studies which revealed the impact of environmental factors on the behavior and physiology of cells, which in turn switched genes on and off.  Many subsequent papers by other researchers went on to validate these concepts and ideas. In fact, Bruce Lipton’s discoveries have contributed to one of today’s most important fields of study, the science of epigenetics.
